What a weekend we had here at BHGC with the 72nd Labor Day Tournament!! Great golf and much fun was had by all. The course was in excellent shape and the entire field of players enjoyed good friends, good food and a competitive 54 holes of golf. Thanks to our major sponsor, Burch's Photo Digital, the entire BHGC staff and all of the volunteer help! If you have not played in this classic event, put it on your calendar for 2010, you won't be
sorry!!
Now we can turn our attention to the next two events this month, the Dick Seddon Memorial Scramble on the 20th and the Prostate Cancer Awareness Scramble on the 27th. Entry forms are available at the clubhouse and online at www.golfbuffalohill.com .
REMINDER! - Tee times are being taken each morning starting at 8:00AM by calling the Pro Shop or stopping by in person. Play begins each day at 8:00AM thru September 13th and changes to 8:30AM on the 14th and 9:00AM on the 28th. Sorry the days are getting shorter!!
Tip of the week:
Keep your equipment clean and dry for best performance and endurance. Ever get caught in the rain and at the end of the round just put your clubs and shoes away without drying them off? Water is the number one thing that will damage your equipment, keep them clean and dry and they will feel better and wok better as well. Everyone has a towel on their bag, get into the habit of going over your equipment at the completion of your round.
See you on the course,

This week's congratulations go to Bill Traeger. Bill is this week's winner of the FREE lunch at Buffalo Hill. Bill was up for lunch and dropped his business card along with his E Mail address in the jar and now he is the winner of a free lunch. WAY TO GO BILL! That's all you have to do to be a winner, or just leave your business card on the table and your waitress will deposit it for you.
All I can say if you didn't't make it up to Buffalo Hill over this past weekend you have no idea what fun you missed. Of all the Labor Day Tournaments I've been involved with, the 2009 tournament has to be one of the best. It was one of those deals "if you didn't have a good time it was your own fault". Billy Angel was great both Friday & Sunday night; the "Smart Alex's" were outstanding Saturday night even though they had to move inside due to a thunder boomer Saturday night but it all worked out great. There were a lot of golfers testing out their "Happy Feet" on the dance floor Saturday night which was great to see. We are already starting to plan for Labor Day of 2010 so be sure to mark your calendars for Labor Day of 2010. Lastly I would like to thank all of you who played in or attended the social events over the weekend. You are definitely the ones who make the tournament such a success.

Red Line on #2 - Earlier this year, we painted a red line (lateral water hazard) on the left side of #2 champ fairway. This lateral hazard line ONLY applies to those players who are playing #2 champ. We will give this a try, and if there are not complications or unforeseen consequences, it will become permanent.
