      Aerification & Fall Conditions

As we get further into September, we all know what comes with fall golf in Montana. Rain, colder temperatures, and eventual frost delays will become more common.

Our Superintendent, Mike Combs, and his entire Grounds Crew have done an amazing job getting the golf course into the condition it is today and protecting those conditions is extremely important as we head into fall.

There will be days when wet conditions require us to make the course Cart Path Only. Please understand that this is not a decision we take lightly. We know Cart Path Only can be inconvenient, but these decisions are made to protect the golf course and prevent damage that can last well beyond a single day.

When the course is Cart Path Only, we expect everyone to follow the rule. Our staff will also be enforcing these restrictions. Please respect them when they remind you of the rules.

From our Superintendent – Mike Combs

That was a couple of busy weeks for my staff and me. We onboarded 12 robotic mowers, and preparation for Labor Day went quite well until Monday’s rainout!

My staff/team did a great job getting everything ready, and I am very proud to have them as co-workers! We all have appreciated the positive feedback. It’s amazing what that does for morale.

We are still learning where our robots can and can’t mow. This will take a bit of time to dial in.

Aeration of all greens has been postponed due to the rainy forecast until the 21st and 22nd.

      From our Board of Directors

We’d like to extend a huge THANK YOU to the incredible staff at Buffalo Hill for putting on another amazing Labor Day Tournament!

Hosting an event of this size is no easy task, but our team has a way of making it look effortless. This tournament simply wouldn’t be possible without the countless hours, hard work, and dedication that our staff puts in behind the scenes to make it such a success.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans for us on Monday, but thanks to our awesome players and wonderful staff, the weekend was still a huge success in our eyes.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this Labor Day weekend so special. Thank you for all that you do.
