Buffalo Hill Reservoir #1 Update – City of Kalispell
June 30, 2025: The Contractor will begin pouring concrete for the new reservoir the week of June 23, 2025. In order to meet the concrete supplier’s daily schedule, the Contractor will start preparing forms and rebar as early as 4:00 a.m. During this time, residents may hear a forklift operating to move materials around the job site, but the majority of the construction work will occur after 7:00 a.m. The early morning work is anticipated to be completed by July 3, 2025, but there may be additional early morning work as construction progresses.
In addition, the Contractor will have a quiet generator operating 24 hours a day during the tank’s construction, which is anticipated to be completed by the Fall of 2025.
The New BHGC Carts
We are extremely excited about our new Yamaha carts at Buffalo Hill. They arrived in June and will have a GPS system installed on them in early July. The new carts are equipped with USB ports for chargers, rain covers for your clubs, a cooler for your beverages, and new and improved sand canisters to fill in divots.
GPS INFORMATION:
The new GPS units provide accurate yardages, pace-of-play tracking, and on-screen course maps to help you navigate each hole with confidence.
In addition to player benefits, the system allows our staff to better manage cart traffic, meaning reduced wear and tear on high-traffic areas and more efficient turf maintenance.

Course Updates
There will be GPS mappers on the course on Tuesday and Wednesday –October 21st & 22nd– mapping all the current irrigation system. While they will do their best not to disrupt play, their objective is to complete the project as quickly as possible, so there will be times when they are mixed up in play. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however it is necessary and we appreciate your understanding.
Irrigation blow out may start this week as well so please be aware sprinkler heads may pop up around play from time to time.
Weather depending, play will be extended through Saturday Nov. 1st. Please stay warm and remember to stay off turf during frost delays.
